Our community youth are brave and take bold steps toward what they hope is their destiny. They search for a light in their path, but often, the schools and the streets where they walk are dimly lit. Inside Josiah Miles' Lighthouse, they found a bright path to empowerment and strength to become leaders of tomorrow.

They are parents and guardians, friends and family, teachers and students. The people who keep the lighthouse open and ready to accept any young person searching for significance. These giving souls make the "village" that takes care of the children and shines a light on their path so they find their future.

Josiah Marcel Maximus Miles. He was a son and a student, a life and a legacy. Although his life ended abruptly and without reason at age 11, Josiah's light will never be extinguished. Through a community foundation named after him, thousands of youth will follow that light and walk directly into their destiny.
